Your Questions About Please Help Me I Can’t Lose Weight

14 Mar

Mary asks…

What is the quickest way to lose weight?

I gave up soda, and changed my diet. I try to run, yet I can’t lose weight. What is the most natural way to lose it?

Chic for Her answers:

Here’s what I did today: after getting home from work this morning, i made a smoothie and drank it for breakfast. I also drank a few glasses of water. 2 hours later i went to bed. Slept for 9 hours, drank a few glasses of water upon waking. Walked a third of a mile before work. I lost 2 lbs in one day. I’m now eating a fruit tray for lunch at work, consisting of cherries, red/green grapes, and banana, which i’ll break down into 3 separate meals and eat only when i’m hungry. I’m also drinking coffee and water. During my shift, i’ll also lift some free weights.

So, the trick is eating healthy (eating 3-5 smaller meals with healthy snacks in between), drinking water, exercising, and a good night sleep. I recommend drinking a few glasses of water before going to bed and upon waking. That way, you’ll keep hydrated. I also suggest weightlifting, as this will increase your metabolism. Choose your favorite sport(s) and play it often (my favorite is tennis).

Here is the recipe for my smoothie:
- almond soy milk, sugarless cranberry juice, mango peach (or any flavor) v8 juice
- frozen bag of strawberries/pineapple/melon/blueberries
- fresh fruit: banana, red/green grapes
- handful of spinach leaves
- a few ice cubes
= place all these ingredients in a blender. I like to use the blend or shred setting. You can really use any fruits and/or vegetables and juices that don’t have that much sugar.

Jenny asks…

How can I lose weight in a healthy way?

I‘m not overweight. And I‘ve never been. I‘m 115lbs and 5’3. I was anorexic not that long ago and I can’t lose weight without slipping back into it. My most recent slip was just over a week ago. I‘d like to weigh 100 lbs. I don’t have a problem with exercise or dieting, I just can’t quite get it right.

Chic for Her answers:

… Why are people seriously giving you tips on losing weight? Even if it is through healthy means, you don’t need tips on losing weight.

And the fact that you were anorexic isn’t even the main reason that i say that.. I say that because you are a perfect weight for your height and DO NOT need to lose weight!

Lisa asks…

How to lose weight without fad diets and something that will fit into a busy schedual?

I am 15 and i am obese. No i am not skinny and say i wanna lose more weight. I am obese and i want help I just can’t find to right way to do it. I try everything and nothing has worked. I am a very busy with FFA being an officer and playing sports yet i can’t lose weight. For some reason, when i get bored i eat. Please help I would like to lose weight adn look good for the upcoming school year. Thanks

Chic for Her answers:

If you want to lose weigh, never binge on food when you are bored, depressed, or stressed. This will never lose you weight. Put some love and determination on losing weight. Be consistent. If you say NO to fat-giving foods, it’s a sure thing that you’ll lose weight. But since you don’t want fad diets, you can try introducing a set of exercise routine in your daily habit. The one that worked for me is the Body Renovator. This the easy solution for long term weight loss.

Mandy asks…

Quickest way to lose weight on thighs and legs?

Does anyone know the quickest way to lose weight on thighs and legs?
I know that you can’t lose weight on a specific body part you want, but are there any exercises that can help you?

Chic for Her answers:

Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we’ve known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few additional small changes – walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can’t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate – in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don’t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

Vary your routines. Don’t eat the same number of calories every day (vary your calories from 1400 a day to 1900 or 2000 some days), eat a variety of foods, and do different kinds and amounts of exercise. You will lose weight much more efficiently if you mix things up from time to time so that your body doesn’t adjust to any one routine.

An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc.

Donna asks…

If you are disabled and can’t walk and are overweight how do you lose weight?

I weigh over 400 and I am unable to walk due to my disability. I also have diabetes and other things. I desparately need to lose weight but dieting isn’t doing it. I can’t exercise like normal people so how do I lose the weight?

Chic for Her answers:

You need to drastically cut calories, you body will burn calories itself if you are unable to walk. Also drinking lots of water boost you metabolism and makes you feel full

Your Questions About Can U Get Pregnant If Your Partner Pulls Out

13 Mar

Laura asks…

Is the ‘pull out’ method 2% less effective than wearing a condom?

Is the ‘pull out‘ method during sex 2% less effective than wearing a condom? If its not what is the percentage ?

Chic for Her answers:

What you are doing is misapplying math to known statistics.

According to the NIH – 2 of every 100 women who use a condom every time will become pregnant in a year’s regular sex (and so the NIH suggests using a second form of birth control as well.)

According to Planned Parenthood – 4 of every 100 women who use pull out CORRECTLY every time will become pregnant in a year’s regular sex. (IF the male pre-ejaculates with live sperm in the pre-cum or otherwise does not or cannot correctly use pull out (coitus interruptus) then 27 out of every 100 women who use pull out will become pregnant in a year’s regular sex.

SO, at the very bottom end, the pull out method is 100% less effective than wearing a condom. (percentage is based on a baseline, which in this case is how many women get pregnant if their partners wear a condom every time — since that is 2 and 4 is double 2, the BEST that one can hope for is a 100% increase in the risk of pregnancy. If the male, for example precums with sperm in it (which is COMPLETELY UNCONTROLLABLE – so don’t blame the guy) the chance may get all the way up to 1250% more likely.

Now that you know how to actually calculate the odds, do you like them?

Regards,

Hermes

Mandy asks…

is there anyway that if i pull out before i come, and i wearing a condom, that my partner can get pregnant?

keep in mind that i consulted websites before i had sex and i learned how to correctly put on condoms. im kinda scared also because my gf is 2 days late on her period. can she be pregnant?

Chic for Her answers:

Yes.

Condoms aren’t 100% effective in preventing pregnancy and “pulling out” isn’t either.

You should just wait for a few weeks and if it hasn’t came yet, then go to the doctor.

Susan asks…

When trying to conceive have any one done so without both partners cumming together?

It is said in order to get pregnant both partners must cum at the same time in order to get pregnant. How true is this?

Chic for Her answers:

Oh sweetie thats probably the most false thing ever. Women who are raped get pregnant. A great percentage of women can’t orgasm with just intercourse. The woman doesn’t have to be awake, conscious, aroused, or anything to become pregnant.

Now as to the man, that is completely false as well. The man doesn’t even have to ejaculate. What is known as “pre-cum” has sperm in it as well. That is why you must wear a condom the whole time. The “pull out” method is the LEAST reliable form of birth control EVER mentioned.

In fact, it is possible (not likely but possible) to get pregnant without intercourse at all. If the penis comes close to the vagina and he ejaculates, sperm can swim up from the edge of the vagina.

All of that was based on facts–this next bit is a guess.
I would probably say that out of the entire population on earth currently–perhaps 1% of them were conceived with both partners orgasming at the same time.

Sandra asks…

Do I legally have to take of this child?

Me and my FWB had sex without protection. Before everything went down I tried to put on a condom, but she said she didn’t want me to because it feels better without and just to for me to pull out. I warned her before we had sex that if there were any mishaps that I wasn’t gone be responsible for anything/anybody, but she insisted. Now she’s running to me saying she’s pregnant, after I warned her in the beginning. So, does that mean I have to legally take care of this baby? Can I make her get an abortion or something?

Chic for Her answers:

No one can force you to be a part of the child’s life, however she can go after and will be able to get child support.

LOL, maybe you should start recording all of your unprotected sex so you can use this ‘warning’ later on in court… You can tell your sex partners whatever you want, your child and the government aren’t going to care all that much that she supposedly talked you out of wearing a condom! Grow up and face the music.

Donna asks…

Could I be pregnant if I had sex before my period started?

On September 1st I had sex with a sex partner. According to pink pad I was suppose to come on my period a week after that. Within 2 days I came on my period and it’s off now. I have been feeling sick every since then. What could this sickness be. WE did not use a condom but we used the pull out method,

Chic for Her answers:

A period is the shedding of the uterus lining that passes along with blood and the unfertilized egg. If you were to be pregnant, the egg would’ve burrowed into the lining and the lining and egg would not have shed. That being said, it is impossible to have a period while pregnant. If a woman is pregnant and bleeding, it’s bleeding associated with the pregnancy and can often times be mistaken for a period. That’s why so many people think they had their period while pregnant when they really didn’t. So if you had your period, there is no way for you to be pregnant.

I had unprotected sex about a week or a couple days before i was supposed to get my period. I didn’t get ejaculated in. I am getting an extremely light period its like equivalent to a penny size of blood. I only have gotten it twice today and its really light in color. does this mean im most likely pregnant?

Chic for Her answers:

Sex can cause an irregular period do not worry about it. Unless u start showing signs of pregnancy later on. Then i would take a test.

Could i be pregnant with twins?

I found out I was pregnant about 10 days before my missed period. Ik that I’m not mixed up on my times. But by now I should be about 5 weeks pregnant, but I look 3 or 4 months pregnant, and have been having a lot of cramping but doc says that they’re nothing to worry about. Is all this normal? Or could it be twins?

Laura asks…

Whats the best way to get a teen abortion for cheap?

My gf and i are sexually active and we ve been having unprotected sex alot recently and i pull out when i feel imma finish. And she took a test at the doctors and it came out positive but the doctor said the test is cheap so it might not be accurate. So he took urine and said come back on the 15th for a accurate test. I dont want a baby and i want tips on how to abbort this. Pills, shots, medicine, whatever! No stupid answers i dont want “oh shes pregnant“, “your dumb u shouldve wore condoms” just if u have tips tell me and if u dont fuck off, thanks for the answers (:

Chic for Her answers:

It is for your gf to decide whether she wants an abortion. If she does, she should have the abortion as soon as possible, as it is a different, probably more expensive procedure at a later time in her pregnancy. An abortion pill is the simplest method but it can only be used up to 9 weeks after the first day of her last period. See Planned Parenthood on different methods of abortion:

http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/abortion-4260.asp

Mandy asks…

How likely is it that I could get pregnant?

My boyfriend and I have been having sex for a while now. I’m on the birth control Nuva Ring and he always wears a condom AND pulls out. Is there any way I can get pregnant?

Chic for Her answers:

Probably notttt.

Sharon asks…

If I wear a condom and the girl is on birth control can i c u m inside her?

If I am wearing a condom, and the girl is on birth control, is it fine for me to c u m inside her? Or should I pull out still? I don’t want to get someone pregnant.

Chic for Her answers:

Since you are wearing condoms and she is on the pill the chances of pregnancy are very low, if you correctly use these methods. Pulling out is not a promising birth control method so it probably wouldn’t work anyway. So i would say that it is okay. Have fun!

Your Questions About Can You Get Pregnant If He Pulls Out And Puts It Back In

10 Mar

Linda asks…

What does it mean when your female rabit pulls her hair out?

My girl dwarf rabbit is pulling hair out,but 1 she isn’t bleeding or has blood in her urine or bumps on her.
I love her and I just want to be safe and I’m just trying to be informed if shes preganet so I can know what 2 do tell me in you have any websites that could help.

Chic for Her answers:

Yes she is pregnant. I know becuase I just had two litters of bunnies. You have about 24 hours until she has her babies from the time she started to pull out her furr. Put her somewhere safe that she wont be botherd. She will only feed her babies once a night. Between 12 am and 9 am. Make sure the surface she and her babies are on is not slippery. This can cause splay leg. Make sure the moma rabbit has unlimited supply of food and water. They need all the food they can get. You can also shred up some cotton balls to help with the nesting. I hope this helps! Need anymore info please let me know. You can e-mail me anytime. :)

Sandra asks…

What point in a rabbit’s pregnancy can you tell she is pregnant?

I was just wondering at what point in a rabbit’s pregnancy is it most accurate to gently palpate her belly and hopefully feel babies? I am hoping my female rabbit is pregnant but it is the first time I have bred rabbits. She has had a litter before but not with me so I was just wondering. I know about the nest boxes and all that.

Chic for Her answers:

I My Female Rabbit Poppy Just Had Her First Litter…..

The female will start to pull her hair out they do this because they think that when there young are born it will keep them extra warm .

She won’t actually look much bigger but if u carefully put ur hand under her tummy and gently feel around u may feel something.

We tried a few times and nothing happened u just just have to wait and c what happens time will tell.

If it is ur first time breeding u can tell if they have mated as when the male has (u know-got off her back) he will kind of topple over a bit lol

when u first put the male and female together they may be aggressive towards each other if so try again in a couple of days .
ALWAYS PUT THE FEMALE IN THE MALES CAGE

hope this helped and good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine are soooooo cute i have 4 white and 1 black one

Donna asks…

My guinea is approx 3 yrs old and now unexpectedly pregnant help?

I recently found out my second guinea is a male and now my female is pregnant. I just want to know any information about the signs right before birth. I know shes getting close and i have a vet appointment scheduled Monday the 20th. Please help.
I am not sure if she has had a litter before or not. My biggest thing is she has what looks like brownish color on her bottom. I know she’s getting close. I have been keeping a close eye on her.

Chic for Her answers:

Very few Gp’s will show signs of labor, and alot of them will hold off if you are constantly watching for it. If you are lucky enough to see signs, and they continue for even an hour or so, your piggy is probably in trouble. Usuall you walk out, come back 15 or 20 minutes later, and voila! There are the babies.

Normal labor should be short and sweet. The whole process from first contraction to last baby can be as short as 15 minutes, and up to 40 minutes depending on how many babies she has.

There should be little or no blood, especially before any babies have been produced. If you see your sow bleeding, more than a tablespoon, dripping blood, or many pieces of bloody bedding with no babies, you are best advised to get to a vet. Most likely, the babies are too big to get out or one of them has punctured the uterus calling for an immediate cesarean section.

The sow will sit very squarely, and make a “hiccupping” type of motion. When she has a contraction, she will kind of hunch up. With a contraction, she will reach under her like she is getting a poop to eat, and pull the baby out. Then she will start to clean off the sac from the face, then the body of the baby.

Sometimes, the babies come so fast that the Mom has no time to tend to each baby. If you are present, and she is still cleaning up a baby and is not tending to the next one, get a clean towel and carefully pick the baby up, take the sac off the baby, and rub it gently to make sure it is breathing. Be especially careful around the newborns eyes, as they are normally wide open, and you can scratch the cornea. After you dry it off, put it back down beside the Mom.

Try and make sure that the afterbirths have been delivered. There should be one for every baby. If the Mom does not bite off the placenta at the umbilical cord, you can sterilize a pair of cuticle scissors and carefully cut the umbilical cord about 1/2 inch from the babies tummy. Otherwise, he will be dragging the placenta around. If you do not see the birth as it happens, you will most likely not see the placentas, as the Mom will eat the afterbirths and all the bloody wet shavings. I have had sows deliver at night, and by morning you would never know she had babies except there are little pigs in the cage!

If you are present, you can help her out by removing some of the placentas and some of the soiled bedding. She eats those to keep predators from discovering the babies. The afterbirth will be a round flat bloody object ranging in size from a nickel to a quarter.

If you witness any of the signs listed below, get the sow to a cavy knowledgeable vet immediately.
Sow straining for more than 10 minutes and not producing a baby.
Sow bleeding
Sow squealing loudly with each contraction
Sow getting exhausted and just giving up from trying.
No placenta being produced with the babies
Sow smelling like nail polish remover, or acetone. This can occur from 2 weeks before until 2 weeks after the birth.

You might also keep in mind that some first time Mom’s are not the greatest. I have had sows that have run to the opposite end of the cage, like they are terrified! But usually, by the second day, they realize that no one else is tending to these little noisy creatures so they might as well do it. I usually do not interfere. The babies try eating from the very first day, and they are born with enough reserve of energy (usually) to sustain until Mom’s instincts kick in. I WILL interfere if she is biting the babies, or attacking them. Keep in mind! Mom’s can, and are, very vigorous in cleaning up these babies! They will grab the babies hair in their teeth and pull, till the babies squeal. They will lick and lick till you think she is trying to remove their fur. That is normal. Her instincts are to remove any smell that will lead predators to her babies.

One more thing. NEVER try and pull anything out of the Mom. Sometimes, they prolapse their uterus, and you will need to get to a vet. If you see the baby partway out, and the Mom is making no effort to help it, and you are SURE it is a baby, then you can gently try and help maneuver the baby out.

Moms may continue to spot for up to 4-5 days after delivery, although 1-2 is more normal. If there are large quantities of blood, or gooey bloody stuff after 2-3 days, or the sow is not acting normally, she might have retained a placenta or a baby. You will need to see a vet if this is the case. The new Mom will not act sick. If she is fluffed up, or has any signs of illness, get her to a vet immediately

Mandy asks…

Is a problem to put an older male rabbit with a young female rabbit?

I have a male rabbit like about 2 – 3 months and a female rabbit like about 1 – 1 and 1/2. Is it a problem to put them together since the male is older and will want sex much earlier than the female?

Chic for Her answers:

Hi…I’ve been raising and showing rabbits for 10 years. Are you wanting to put the doe (female rabbit) with your buck (male rabbit) to breed to or as a companion? If you are wanting to breed them, then you need to wait to breed her until she is mature and ready to breed. The age depends on the breed and whether it is a 4 class or 6 class breed. Rabbits are broken down into first bucks and does and then age groups. Breeds that have Juniors (0-6 months) and Seniors (6 months and older) are 4 class breeds and can be bred at 6 months of age. Breeds that have Juniors, 6/8′s (6 to 8 months of age), and Seniors are 6 class breeds and can be bred at 8 months old. And they must be caged separately, and then when you decide to breed them you always take the doe to the buck’s cage as does are very territorial. Let them breed, which he will get on top of her and when he has finished he will grunt and fall over. Then remove her and take her back to her cage. A rabbit’s gestation period (time they are pregnant) is 28-32 days, a couple days before she is due you will need to give her a nestbox. The kind I have found to be best can be found at Tractor Supply and are metal with a removable wood floor for cleaning. Put about a 2 inch layer of sawdust (pine, not cedar) across the bottom of the box along with a handful of straw (not hay, hay is what they eat and straw is bedding) in the box and a couple more handfuls outside the box just in her cage so she can carry more in to build her nest if she wants. Then she will most likely have the babies at night. If you are wanting to put them together as companions, I do not recommend it. Rabbits are not social animals and do not pine for other animals company. Even spayed and neutered rabbits (which spaying and neutering is a waste of money and an unnecessary risk and pain to the rabbits) or “bonded” rabbits that seem to get along perfectly will fight at one time or another. They also typically chew off pieces of eachother’s ears and pull out their fur. Having them in cages where they can see eachother is fine, but anything beyond that is dangerous. Adequate attention from you really is the best option. I know it sounds mean, but rabbits really do best under these circumstances. Hope this helps and please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.

Your Questions About I Have Never Had A Regular Period Why

9 Mar

Jenny asks…

What are the chances of me being pregnant?

My period is 23 days late according to the app I use on my phone. I‘ve never had regular periods. My last period ended on October 7th. Last time I had sex was in mid October. We used a condom. It didn’t break or leak. He didn’t ejaculate. I took a pregnancy test last Wednesday and it was negative. I‘ve been a bit stressed lately and I‘m not having any pregnancy symptoms. When I went to the toilet yesterday and wiped there was some light pinky blood but it was faint. I‘m still getting it when I wipe but it’s still very faint. What’s going on with me? I don’t want to be pregnant.

Thanks for any help.

Chic for Her answers:

You aren’t pregnant.

If your periods are so irregular, how do you know you’re late?

Ruth asks…

would having irregualr period affect my chance of having a baby in the future?

I am 21 and have never had regular periods. Recently its been 3/4 months since i last had one. How worried should i be? will this ever affect my chances of having a baby in the future?

Chic for Her answers:

If you are concerned about having children, it may be wise to see a doctor to see what the cause is. Early intervention is always a good idea.

Betty asks…

How would I go about getting my hormone levels checked?

I am just recovering from bulimia…my diet is still very out of wack though I do not purge anymore. I just had a miscarriage in November. Never had regular periods, though it just came back this month for the first time since m/c. But I feel like there could be an imbalance with my estrogen/testosterone levels. For example, I am a 22 year old female and I have mild acne…isn’t acne more for teenage pubescent boys…what gives with me getting it. Also my hair is having trouble recovering from the nutritional damage done to it..but could hormone levels play into this…I feel very lethargic. I exercise and am thin, toned..Just giving details so if anyone would be able to give some advice on what happens in a female with hi/low testosterone levels. Also would I go to an endocrinologist for this issue or would a general practice Dr. suffice??? Much thanks. Cheers!
I would also like to check my cortisol level…I‘ve been through a lot of stress and have just a little abdominal fat that I have trouble getting rid of though it’s not bad at all. But i never used to have this. Can I have that checked too?

Chic for Her answers:

You need professional help…… Go to your general MD and explain to them all of your problems….. They will guide you to the correct people….. You are physically and mentally ill……

Sharon asks…

What are my chances of a healthy pregnancy?

I‘ve never had a regular period. I usually go every six months before I have one. My older sister was the same way and it caused complications when she tried to concieve. She finally did after ten years. Also, my mother suffered a miscarriage but had three other healthy prenancies. I‘ve always wondered what my chances are of getting pregnant. What do you think?

Chic for Her answers:

Well if you are having a period every 6 months that is not good. You need to get to the Dr. And find out what the issue is. There is something that is obviousely not right. It may just be a hormone imbalance, or a cyst. Regardless you need to find out. This can make it very hard to get pregnant seeing as how you do not know your cycle. You do not need a period to get pregnant, you can still ovulate, but having one is healthier and gives you an accurate idea of your cycle. So get to the Dr. He is the only one that can determine if you will have potential issues in future pregnancies.

Mandy asks…

How early should you expect pregnancy symptoms while breastfeeding?

Today’s Date is Jan 11th. My first child is 5.5 months and I am breastfeeding. I introduced solids on thanksgiving he was a few days short of 4 months (nov 31st). I got my first Period nov 13th it lasted 1 week. I haven’t gotten one since, but before pregnancy I never had regular periods (twice a year). We had unprotected sex Dec 7th & Jan 7th. Not exactly trying to conceive it just kinda happened. But we would be fine with it if it did happen. I am just wondering how soon to expect symptoms of pregnancy while breastfeeding? With my first pregnancy I stated getting symptoms around 5 or 6 weeks.

Your Questions About Can You Get Pregnant When Your Partner Pulls Out

8 Mar

Lizzie asks…

Is there anyone out there who has been excommunicated or on probation from the Mormom church?

I am a member of the Mormon church. My ex husband and I were seperated for 4yrs when I got pregnant by my now fiance. The bishop of my church put me on probation because I was not divorced yet, even though my ex husband and I did not live together and were no longer togeher.Has this happen to anyone else?

Chic for Her answers:

I am a convert to the church for 10 years now. I’ve not been kicked out and if I’m on probation it’s a secret to me. Just from an objective standpoint I’d say it’s about the sexual activity while still being married. Separation is a legal term, but isn’t a part of marriage..either you’re married or you’re divorced. Our society tends to accept separation as a norm and individual’s actions during that time as their own. That being said..after reading all the comments left below..it really doesn’t matter if you had gone to the temple with your first husband because my understanding from two other convert women is that your first marriage on earth is the one you have thru eternity. Now..no other member, male or female, bishop or temple prep class teacher (of which I attended three with my second husband who was an inactive member when we met) none told me this..they did however focus on being sealed as a family. But their doctrine states clearly you must marry in the temple to be sealed as husband and wife. If that is true, than what is this close lipped doctrine about your first earthly husband being your eternal spouse? You see I was married by a minister to my first husband, with no knowledge that I was choosing an eternal partner. The same goes for the second husband. As a matter of fact I was pregnant by another man when I met and married my second husband. And yet no church member, not even the bishop, and I’ve had three since my conversion has ever told me these conditons on temple marriage. I mean if I’m stuck with my first husband even without marrying in the temple..then what sense does the doctrine make to marry and be sealed in the temple? It’s contradictory!! And what about all those little girls in third world countries that are forced to marry at age 9 or so..are they stuck with that man? I too have been pulling away from the church for quite some time. I was separated for 3 and 1/2 years and then we divorced around the four yr mark..during that time i was very faithful with my callings , working hard at tithing although not a full 10%,attended at least 95% of the time and felt fairly confident in my bishop..however, I also noticed that people wouldnt sit in the same pew as me and my son. It became very clear that we were outsiders. The new bishop has been less than kind. He has helped me financially twice, I’m still a single parent not receiving support during that whole time until just recently. He literally will not help me with food assistance unless I fulfill callings, attend church regularly,(since losing my teaching position i had to accept pt work including every other sunday) and pay a full tithe..only to turn around and ask the church for assistance..but he wont assist me with my bills cos i have directv service..which is a contract that he asked me to try and get out of since it was a luxury and he doesnt subscribe to cable himself. So now..I go to OTHER CHURCHES for food assistance!!! What sense does that make? I will say this tho..I do believe the Book of Mormon is true..that it is an account of history and teachings of our Lord and Saviour..but I don’t believe alot of the D and C..I think those doctrined are man made! And I felt that for a very long time..even before my divorce. By the way, according to their doctrine..I’m no longer considered good marrying material..I mean why would a good mormon priest holder take a woman who’s been married already? Right? Can’t take me to the temple. I know this is very long..but I felt is was a sign that I got this question in my inbox..as I am still struggling with church and the right thing to do for me and especially my son. By the way, I never got to the temple for baptisms..even tho my previous bishop gave me a temple recommend..I didn’t feel worthy..now I wish I had gone..just to know for myself first hand. I believe that my God and his son Jesus Christ..which by the way I have always believed they are separate beings even long before my conversion..that they are merciful and want us to learn and return to them. And remember we have the tribulation..one thousand years in the prescence of Jesus and his teachings..or maybe I have that wrong?

Linda asks…

Why Do people tell you to pull out as soon as a girl has an orgasm?

Why do people tell the guy to pull out before their female partner has an orgasm? Is it to prevent
the girl from becoming pregnant or someother reason?

Chic for Her answers:

I have never heard that, it wouldn’t matter when you pulled out or not if you go in her you typically have a 20% chance of getting her pregnant.

Jenny asks…

What is the chance of me getting pregnant on birth control?

I hate using condoms but he doesn’t cum in me he pulls out

Chic for Her answers:

If you mean the Birth Control pill, then the success rate is around 99% (meaning that out of 100 women who take the Pill for a year, one is likely to become pregnant).

If you are on the Pill and taking it correctly (every day) and your partner is not ejaculating in you anyway, you should be fine.

You could use a spermicidal cream if you want to make even more sure, but the Pill prevents ovulation, so if there is no egg to fertilize, there can be no baby!

Lisa asks…

what i should do to avoid my partner for being pregnant?

we have sexsual intercourse, and im doing the withdrawal method or withdrawing the penis before climax, but am not sure if it is safe. im afraid for her to be pregnant and we dont want it yet. how/what we should do for her not to be pregnant? are there some methods?

Chic for Her answers:

The PULL OUT method does not prevent pregnancy

Nancy asks…

I am worried about my friend who refuses to use birth control?

We have both had excellent educations where sex was a very prominent topic. SHE KNOWS that it is highly likely she will get pregnant without birth control and KNOWS that the pull out method is not a reliable choice. Yet, she still doesn’t use birth control! She tells me she gets him to pull out a few minutes before he ejaculates, and she said yes she knows she can get pregnant from his pre-ejaculate, but he never pre-ejaculates. Then she says she only has sex with him once a month straight after her period so the chances of her getting pregnant decrease. It’s like she has totally dismissed everything we learnt in sex ed, I told her to get condoms and birth control but she refuses. She says she knows she won’t get pregnant, ahhhh why??? What do I do to get her to be less ignorant? We are 18
I am a biomed student and I know for sure she will probably get pregnant by the way she is doing things. She doesn’t want to get pregnant.
She actually does not want to get pregnant. She doesn’t use condoms because they ‘hurt’ and she is ‘allergic’ to them and getting birth control in my area is incredibly hard.

Chic for Her answers:

The chances she’ll get pregnant are much higher then when using normal anticonception. Having said that , I’m 12 years together with my partner and most of the time we used the same method as your friend w/o getting pregnant. (Yes, we have kids, both planned, and both conceived in a couple of tries)

You’ve done your part, now it’s up to her to judge and act. As the others said, you can only lead the horse to the water.

Carol asks…

can this get in the way of getting pregnant?

Just because my period at times is irregular can that get in the way of me becomig pregnant? Im really worried cause people have told me it can be signs of cervical cancer

Chic for Her answers:

It can be more difficult to get pregnant because you won’t know when you are going to ovulate, so you won’t know when you are most fertile.

Symptoms usually don’t appear until abnormal cervical cells become cancerous and invade nearby tissue. When this happens, the most common symptom is abnormal bleeding, which may start and stop between regular menstrual periods or may occur after sexual intercourse, douching or a pelvic exam. Menstrual bleeding may last longer and be heavier than usual.

Most women ovulate 12 to 16 days before their period is due to start.
The number of days between ovulation and the start of the next period is fairly consistent among all women. However, the opposite it not true. The number of days between the start of the period and the next ovulation varies quite a bit between women. It even varies from month to month for the same woman.

The most fertile time of the month for a woman is the three days before ovulation and the day after.

Your “fertile window” is up to 6 days long, once a month. It includes the 5 days before ovulation. This is because sperm can live in a woman’s body for 3 to 5 days after sex. When an egg is released, one of these sperm is ready to fertilize it. And The day you ovulate.
(A human egg usually lives for only 12 to 24 hours after ovulation. This is why you are not likely to get pregnant by having sex a day after you ovulate.)

http://health.yahoo.com/pregnancy-getpregnant/interactive-tool-when-are-you-most-fertile/healthwise–tn9893.html

If you are planning a pregnancy, do not have sex during the 5 days before your 6-day fertile window. (Not ejaculating for a few days helps build up a man’s sperm count.) Then have sex once each day of your fertile window, including ovulation day.

Most women ovulate 12 to 16 days before their period is due to start.
So you are too early.
Some test CAN show a positive result for pregnancy up to 5 days before the period is due. This doesn’t mean they are likely to be positive that early. Wait until you are late you are more likely to get an accurate test then.
It is possible to get a false negative. Some people don’t produce enough hcg in their urine to show up positive this early in a pregnancy.

If you are still concerned about having cervical cancer you can get a pap test done at the doctors office. This should be done yearly anyway.

Good luck

Susan asks…

Am i pregnant? please help!! ill answer your question in return.?

I had unprotected sex the 16 & 13th of June. I was supposed to get my period the 25th but i haven’t got it yet. it’s 3days later. sometimes my stomach hurts but it’s not like cramps.. i never get cramps during my period anyways. my back hurts a little bit. my blood sugar has been running low like in the 40s at the lowest and 100 at the highest.. don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not. could i be pregnant? should i tell my boyfriend i missed my period?

Chic for Her answers:

It’s very possible that you could be. But I’d test soon to know for sure :) And depends on your relationship, whether or not you should tell your boyfriend. My boyfriend personally demands on knowing whenever I start so that he doesn’t worry, but some boyfriends just wouldn’t care. Personally, I think you should test before you tell him anything so that you’ll know for sure before making him worry as well :)

Sandy asks…

does it sound like pregnancy?

Hi everyone my fiance and and are trying for another child.we were together during my fertile times. And now i thinking that maybe i could be pregnant. During my normal periods i just get slight cramps and then it comes. now my breast are tingly/heavy/hurting a little. and i keep getting period symptoms but no period. and a pinch of pain in my back every once in a while…im now a week late just waiting to test. what do you guys think sounds like pregnancy? or no..just anxious

Chic for Her answers:

Yahoo does not predict pregnancy even if you pee on the keyboard ; ) You are a week late, so why have you not taken a test? A test is accurate the day after a missed period with first morning urine for almost all women.

Mary asks…

I am a couple of weeks away from my period…however I have been feeling different in my lower stomach area…?

It feels like my stomach is getting tighter and like stuff is moving and changing down there. Could I be pregnant??? And if I went ahead and took a test would it show up even though I have not missed my period?

Chic for Her answers:

You could be ovulating.

Your Questions About I Want To Get Pregnant But My Partner Pulls Out

6 Mar

Donna asks…

Who knows for sure that they got pregnant from the withdrawal method?

I know this is not an effective form of birth control. I just want to hear of actual cases and how they occurred. How many times did you use the pull-out method before you ended up pregnant? Did your partner believe you? And are you SURE that he did not ejaculate in you (only pre- ejaculated)?

Chic for Her answers:

My cousin got pregnant when she lost her virginity. The guy just stuck it in and thrust 3 or 4 times and did not even get off when she made him stop. The pre-cum got her pregnant and she was just 15 years old.

Carol asks…

If I am on birth control and my partner uses the “pull out method” can I still get pregnant?

I understand that when your partner uses the pull out method there is a chance of getting pregnant due to the precum, but I am on birth control. We do not use a condom. I only did this once so I have time to change the way I do things with him.

Chic for Her answers:

If you take the Pill everyday your 98%-99% protected of pregnancy. THE PILL STOPS OVULATION, NO egg= No pregnancy. It would be highly unlikely for you to be pregnant.

Mary asks…

What are the chances of getting pregnant?

If we don’t use the condom, I‘m not on any kind of birth control but he pulls out. I checked my calendar today, and apparently, yesterday, I ovulated and today is my last day being fertile.

Chic for Her answers:

It’s possible, but chances are well under 50%.

If you have sex every day you are fertile without pulling out, the chances of becoming pregnant each month are still under 30%. There is fertile sperm in pre-ejaculate that comes in contact with the vagina during intercourse before ejaculation, but of course less sperm means less of a chance that one will come in contact with the egg. The withdrawal method is not the best form of birth control, especially for the “oops, too late” moment if he doesn’t pull out in time.

Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 4 will become pregnant each year if they always do it correctly. Of every 100 women whose partners use withdrawal, 27 will become pregnant each year if they don’t always do it correctly.

Mandy asks…

What are some tips/ideas that can increase a female’s chances to get pregnant?

I‘ve jus come off the pill about 2 weeks ago and am finishing my period now.
Me and my partner have decided we want to try, and yes – I am old enough lol. Tips/Ideas? Thankyou! :)

Chic for Her answers:

Hi there,
I gave this a read through for you, so hope it helps!

Tip # 1. To get pregnant faster have sex three times a week.
Having regular sex is the best way to get pregnant. Couples often try to time everything perfectly for ovulation but do not have sex when they think they are not ovulating. It is true that sex that is not within the time of ovulation will not result in pregnancy. However, because women do not always ovulate when they think they will, having sex three times a week will help a woman to cover her bases, so to speak, and not miss an opportunity to get pregnant.

Tip # 2. To get pregnant faster use an ovulation prediction kit or fertility monitor.
Using an ovulation kit to predict when you are ovulating will improve your chances of getting pregnant. For many women charting or other methods of ovulation prediction are too confusing. Ovulation prediction kits work by reading LH surges prior to ovulation. They are relatively easy to use and are generally accurate for predicting ovulation. Fertility monitors, such as the Clear Blue Easy monitor, are also a worthwhile investment if you would like to get pregnant faster. Fertility monitors are similar to ovulation prediction kits in that they read changes in LH but they also read changes in other hormones and don’t require any guesswork for couples. They are easy to use and will tell you when the best time to get pregnant is.

Tip # 3. To get pregnant faster have sex before ovulation (not after).
Sometimes couples get confused about the best time to have sex in relationship to ovulation. You have a small window of time each month to get pregnant. After a woman ovulates the egg will survive approximately 24 hours. Sperm, on the other hand, will live for up to three to five days. This is why having sex two to three days before ovulation will increase your chances of getting pregnant. Don’t wait until the day you ovulate to have sex. Your partner’s sperm will last longer than your egg and you don’t want to miss an opportunity by waiting.

Tip # 4. When trying to get pregnant, don’t smoke, drink alcohol, or abuse drugs.
This may seem like common sense but many women do try to get pregnant while smoking, drinking or using drugs. Smoking, drugs, and alcohol can affect your fertility. It will also affect your unborn child. It is important to stop smoking or using drugs and alcohol before getting pregnant and not wait until you find out you are pregnant.

Tip # 5. To get pregnant faster have enjoyable sex.
Sometimes when couples are trying to conceive, sex becomes a job or function of reproduction and is not as enjoyable. Plan a romantic evening or try something different to spice things up. How you are feeling sexually may factor into your chances of getting pregnant. Some researchers believe that having an orgasm during sex increases your chances of getting pregnant. For women, the spasmic movements of orgasm will help pull the sperm into the uterus and for men a better orgasm may increase the man’s sperm count.

Tip # 6. Have sex in positions that keep sperm inside the vagina longer.
The missionary position is a good position to use when trying to get pregnant. Avoid positions where the woman is on top. Gravity will allow sperm to leak out with these positions. Also try placing a pillow under your hips to help tilt your pelvis and keep the sperm in longer. Don’t get up right after sex. Try to relax and allow the sperm to stay in the vagina as long as possible.

Tip # 7. There is no such thing as trying too hard to get pregnant.
Most couples get pregnant within a year of trying. If you have not gotten pregnant within a year consult your doctor for advice.

Best of Luck,
Baby Dust!! X

Nancy asks…

If you have sex when you ovulate and 2 wks later you get a period, can you be pregnant?

My partner did not pull out and had sex 2 days in a row. 2 wks later I got my period but I‘ve been vomiting and have lower back pain, cravings for food but the smell of certain foods make me nausea. I love coffee and can no longer stomach it, could it be a stomach flu or pregnant?

Chic for Her answers:

If you got your period & it was at the time you expected it during your cycle & a normal flow for you then you most likely are not pregnant. When you conceive your periods stop, you womb lining that would be shed during your period is not shed it stays in your womb to nourish your growing embryo.

Women can get episodes of bleeding in early pregnancy but these are not true periods, your periods cease when you get pregnant. There is no such thing as “stomach flu” really that just means sickness & diarrhoea which is very common & often not pregnancy related.

If you think you are pregnant then simply take a pregnancy test, first urine sample of the morning when you wake up. How is anyone on Y!A supposed to know what is going on inside your womb?

Your Questions About Get Pregnant While Pregnant

Laura asks…

Could you get pregnant while being pregnant with ectopic pregnancy?

haha i hope u guys understood that. i recently had an ectopic pregnancy removed and i was wondering (because i had sex a few days before i found out) if i could be pregnant already? so the question is can you get pregnant while already pregnant but ectopically?

Chic for Her answers:

I believe that you would ahve to have gotten pregnant with both of the babies at the same time…that is a possibility but it is very rare. Its not possible to get pregnant with a normal baby if you’re already pregnant with an ectopic.

Why are people being so rude about the question? im not doing drugs.

How long do I need to walk per day while pregnant to maintain and loose weight?

I want to maintain my weight while pregnant. Will it make a difference now if I want to work out everyday or should I just wait till after i have the baby? Currently 6 weeks pregnant

Chic for Her answers:

Your supposed to GAIN weight while pregnant..Just don’t gain too much..walk for 30 mins to an hour everyday to keep healthy..Your baby will drain a lot of nutrition from you and if you try to lose weight when you should be gaining your not going to have any energy at all.

Linda asks…

How can a stroke while pregnant affect the baby?

I’m painfully curious. If a woman has a minor stroke while pregnant, does it affect the baby? If so, what can happen to the baby that would affect it later in life?

Chic for Her answers:

A stroke while pregnant, by itself, typically has no effect on the baby. However, most strokes in pregnant women are caused by preexisting conditions (relating to the pregnancy or to the mother’s health) which come with their own unique complications.

Some of these risks are low birth weight, preterm labor, breathing and respiratory issues and heart problems.

Many do not survive. Of those that do, most go on to lead normal lives.

If you want to read more about strokes during pregnancy, I’ve included a link on the topic in my “Source(s)”
